Janazah Service Prayer
No one dies except by Allah's leave, at a predetermined time. Whoever seeks the vanities of this world, we give him there from, and whoever seeks the rewards of the hereafter, we bless him therein. We reward those who are appreciative.
Holy Quran 3:145
alcolm Shabazz was born in Paris, France on October 8, 1984 to Qubilah Shabazz and L. A. Bouasba. Malcolm lived in various places around the
United States but was recently from New York. He had been actively traveling the states and the world where he spent his time teaching Islam and the love of the Ahlul Bayt Prophet' s Household (AS). Malcolm was very outspoken in regards to the perceived injustices of oppressed people that he encountered during his travels. In the states his activism dealt with stopping black on black violence, the prison industrial complex and the plight of political prisoners. He visited incarcerated activists , such as Mumia Abu Jamal and Sekou Odinga and also drew many lessons from many human rights activists from the Black struggle movement of the 60's. One of his most memorable meetings was with political activist Sis. Yuri Kochiyama whom he adored.
Malcolm also was in the process of helping to build Masjids and educational centers in America. He also put emphasis on the need for qualitative changes in the overall American educational system which would ensure all children would have access to a more than adequate education. He had been working with, not only activists, but educators at the University of California at Berkeley. He was known to speak at many Universities across America as well as local community centers.
His activism also included travelling to such places as Qatar, France, Holland, Canada and the UAE. The two most enjoyable highlights of his overseas experiences were his Hajj (spiritual pilgrimage) to Mecca in 2010 where he met the late scholar Shaykh Amri in Medina and his studies of Islam from ulama (scholars) in Damascus , Syria at the Hawza Ilmiya Zainabiyah (Islamic Seminary). It was also here that he made a spiritual connection during a ziyarat (visitation) to the tomb Hazrat Zainab, the granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad (AS).
Malcolm had dedicated his life to the missions of his grandfather, Malcolm X by working for human rights with hopes of creating a world filled with justice and peace. Malcolm was also in the process of writing two books, one of which was a memoir.
Of the things people remember most about Malcolm outside of his teaching and activism, was his deep love for his daughter, Saudi and his unconditional love for his mother.
Malcolm' s family included the pre deceased Bro. Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz.
He is survived by his loving mother and comrade, Qubilah-Bahiyah Shabazz, his daughter Saudi Shabazz. In the name of God, the infinitely Compassionate and Merciful.
Praise be to God, Lord of all the worlds.
The Compassionate, the Merciful. Ruler on the Day of Reckoning. You alone do we worship, and You alone do we ask for help.
Guide us on the straight path,
the path of those who have received your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath,
nor of those who wander astray.
